SSCT Facebook Account Update!

Back on Monday August 19, 2024 Stage and Spotlights Community Theater Facebook account was hacked.
The Founder Melanie Schmidt is working tirelessly to retrieve Stage and Spotlights Community Theatre’s Facebook page so we can proceed forward with our fourth season hopefully in 2026. The last post on the August 19, 2024 at 7:41am was an ad about silicone dentures, that was not posted by me, but by a hacker. Thank you for your patience while we work through this unfortunate situation. – Melanie Schmidt

Dear Facebook Reps, please see icons above to see my other social media platforms. I have cross reference proof of my identity on all my platforms. I will be reaching out to talk to a Facebook representative soon via my secondary Facebook account I had to make after I was hacked. I will have further explanation, details and pictures for you. That secondary account is meta verified and for security purposes I won’t say the name of it on here.

Melanie Schmidt (Click Link to Website) Started Stage and Spotlights Theatre back in 2016 in order to save a musical production of Disney’s High School Musical that was canceled by a different producer she was working with.

After producing and directing High School Musical in 2016, Melanie updated the name to Stage and Spotlights Community Theatre in 2017 and produced/directed Hairspray the Broadway Musical.

Then post pandemic SSCT was invited to compete at the MACT*Fest Competition in Pipestone, MN in Fall of 2021. Melanie then produced and directed How to Host a Murder Mystery Dinner Party in 15 Simple Steps for the competition and added a run of 8 shows for the production at the Phoenix Theater, in Minneapolis.
